This site is published by Luxe Club LLC. Luxe Club LLC is not a law firm and employs no lawyers. It is not a lawyer referral service; the only referral service named on these pages is the NC Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service, which is run by the bar association and not by this site. The site is not affiliated with Durham County, the Durham County Clerk of Superior Court, the District Attorney, the North Carolina Judicial Branch, the NCDMV, the State Highway Patrol, the Durham Police Department, the Durham County Sheriff's Office or any other court or agency it describes. Their names and addresses appear here because they are public, not because they endorse or review this site.
Accuracy, sources and changes in the law
Every number, fee, deadline, address and statute on this site was taken from a named public source at the time the page was written, and each page lists the sources it used and the date it was last reviewed. Statutes are amended, court fees are re-set, offices move and phone numbers change, so a page can be out of date the day after it is reviewed. Where this site and the text of a statute, a court rule or an official fee chart differ, the statute, the rule or the chart controls. Where this site could not confirm a fact, it says so rather than filling the gap. If you find an error, the contact page explains how to report it.
No promise of any outcome
Nothing here is a promise about what a court, a magistrate, the DMV or a lawyer will do. Where a page reports how cases usually resolve, it is quoting a published statistic, not predicting yours. The publisher makes no promise that any lawyer you find through the bar association's referral line or anywhere else will take your case, charge a given fee or reach a given result. You use this site at your own risk, and the publisher is not liable for any decision you make in reliance on it.
